Old Lanvean Cottage

Old Lanvean Cottage sleeps up to four in two bedrooms - one double and a super king size bedroom which can also be made into a twin bedroom. The ground floor has a cosy sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a downstairs bathroom with a bath and a shower. The first floor consists of the two bedrooms and a small landing area.

Designed to be comfortable throughout the year, the cottage is centrally heated. The bedrooms are fitted with light proof blinds and curtains, and all bedding is 100% cotton.

As this is period cottage, it has many character feature include and original fireplace, beams and low ceilings.

Most mobile networks get a signal, and BT Infinity is also available for WIFI Calling.

A gorgeous cosy sitting room with comfortable seating for relaxing after a day out. The room features a 32” television with a Humax digital terrestrial TV set top box, a Now TV box for streaming channels, a Bluray / DVD player with a film library, and an internet radio which has a Bluetooth input for playing music from your own devices.

Additionally, there is a selection of books, board games, card games and jigsaw puzzles.

The kitchen offers an oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle, and a cafetiere.

A full range of utensils, pans and serving dishes are included.

The dining room features recycled and vintage items including a solid oak kitchen table and upcycled chairs. With the ability to seat 6, the dining table is perfect for entertaining if you’d like to invite friends over for the evening. The room has views into the garden.

A high chair is also available.

The garden is situated in a beautiful spot, and the valley and village that surrounds it is a haven for wildlife. Enjoy outdoor dining on our table and chair set which seats 6, and we also have a wooden garden bench.

The garden is fully fenced, but larger dogs could quite possibly jump over in certain areas.

St Mawgan is a picturesque village nestled in the wooded Lanherne valley. The River Menalhyl runs through the village, which is home to the popular Falcon Inn, a traditional village pub with a roaring fire, wooden beams and an award winning garden. The village also has a village shop, tearoom, and a Japanese garden.

The cottage is located just 5 minutes drive, or a 35 minute walk to Mawgan Porth. Mawgan Porth has a stunning sandy beach with cliffs either side, rock pools, and the bay provides fantastic surfing, great sand castle building, and also allows dogs.

This award winning beach is patrolled by lifeguards and has an excellent beach shop, restaurants, and pub.

Mawgan Porth is also located near to Watergate Bay, Bedruthan Steps, and Padstow. Horse riding, surfing lessons, kayaking and coasteering can all be booked nearby.
